DESCRIPTION: It’s almost time again to create our visions for the coming year. It starts with… Imagine what you want to Do and Be–No dream is too big! Then put images of your plans and dreams on your vision board and–Voila! Manifest! My vision board sits next to my desk as a reminder of who I am and what I can accomplish if I set my mind to it and dare to dream. This is truly a magical process that has become my passion to complete each January with a circle of women. We will review the past year, choose our word of the year for 2020, find a goddess and animal guide for the New Year, and take a guided journey to the future. Come join our circle and imagine the life you want to manifest.

 IT TAKES MORE THAN LOVE
EVENT LEADER: Dr. Glenda Claire
DATE: January 20th, (Every 3rd Monday of each month)
TIME: 7:00pm – 8:30pm
CONTACT: Dr. Clare at itml@fragilefamiliesnetwork.com
WEBSITE: https://www.facebook.com/ItTakesMorethanLove
DESCRIPTION: Blood is thicker than water but it takes more than love to raise a relative’s child. More than 89,000 N.C. children live with a relative without the presence of a birth parent. 28 out of every 29 children who live with a relative are not connected with foster care. Families, referred to as grandfamilies, form when a grandparent or other family member (sibling, aunt, uncle or cousin) raise the child of a relative unable or willing to parent. When grandfamilies receive needed support, children thrive! The challenge is that few services exist to provide support to grandfamilies. Dr Glenda Clare, the facilitator of “It Takes More Than Love” supportive services, understands the need for support. There were no supportive services available to her family when she raised her cousin. She is committed to developing support networks for grandfamilies throughout North Carolina.
