Acupuncture: Originating in China 3,000 years ago, acupuncture is a system of healing based on balancing the body’s life force energy known as Qi. Qi flows along channels throughout the body, similar to the nervous and circulatory systems. An imbalance in the body’s energy may result in distress signals in the form of symptoms, physical, emotional or mental. An acupuncturist is trained to evaluate the underlying cause of a client’s problems or symptoms. Treating the person’s basic constitution as well as alleviating the symptoms is part of the treatment plan. Using thin, sterile, disposable needles, the acupuncturist inserts the needles along specific points of the meridian pathways to help balance and unblock the Qi.

The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy®: Founded on an ancient Maya technique of ABDOMINAL MASSAGE, this technique is performed externally by gently guiding and supporting organs back into their optimal position, allowing for improved functioning for optimal health and wellness.
Arvigo Therapy is best known for addressing misalignment or congestion in the reproductive organs of both men and women, as well as many common digestive disorders. The techniques effectively alleviate tissue congestion and organ constriction to improve the vital flows of energy, blood, lymph and nerves in the abdomen. It addresses and can release emotional and energetic tension from the abdomen. This assists to prevent the progression of chronic disease symptomology while improving the body’s ability to SELF REPAIR AND BALANCE.

Prenatal & Postnatal: Acupuncture has been successfully used for morning sickness and labor induction. During labor, acupuncture can be administrated to reduce pain and promote relaxation. Moxibustion, stimulating acupuncture points with heat, has been used for centuries to encourage a breech fetus to turn. For greatest success, this method is used between weeks 32 and 35.

Chinese Herbology: Chinese herbal medicine is used in conjunction with acupuncture to support the healing process. The herbs are based on classical Chinese formulas and are dispensed in pill or tincture form.

Licensed Massage Therapy: A western style of massage that relieves stress, relaxes muscle tissue, and improves blood and lymph circulation. Swedish Massage consists of gliding, kneading, brisk, and tapping strokes to the superficial skin or deeper muscle tissues. Pressure is light to medium. This session may also include Deep Tissue and/or Trigger Point Massage on specific muscles or muscle groups, as needed.

Reiki: Reiki (Universal Life Force) is an ancient and powerful form of healing which is applied with the hands. Reiki treats the mind, body, emotions and spirit. It brings more life, vitality, clarity, wellness and peace of mind. Reiki aids in the healing process and brings relief from stress and pain.

Trigger Point Therapy: Triggerpoints are painful nodules located in muscles or tendons. They often refer pain to other parts of the body and can limit movement and range of motion. Sciatica, tennis elbow and headaches are often caused by triggerpoints. Injuries, improper posture and overuse syndromes and stress cause trigger points to form in the musculature. Triggerpoints are gradually released using deep pressure, movement and energy balancing.
