About Jacob:

Education and Training: Jacob obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Cognitive Science from the University of Virginia and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from UNC-Chapel Hill. In addition, he completed Yoga Teacher Training in 2020, and has been mentored in therapeutic applications of the Feldenkrais Method for the previous two years. Jacob integrates his education and experience to offer evidence-based, holistic care for his patients.

Jacob is passionate about helping people improve their lives through movement, mindfulness, and education. He is especially interested in helping people navigate chronic pain, balance disorders, exercise-related injuries, lifestyle diseases, and the physical manifestations of stress and anxiety.

Distance Healing has been found across almost every culture and in every period throughout history. It isn’t a new phenomenon, and yet it extends the already mysterious practice of energy healing into an even more mysterious non-local realm. It can seem more challenging to learn, exercise, and understand because of this added layer of mystery. But what Amelia has found in her 15+ years of practice that once you have one experience of feeling, sensing, or experiencing the effects of distance healing, it becomes as real as providing in-person healing and she wants to offer how she has successfully grown her practice so that you can also keep doing what you do best, sending love and light and healing to this planet that so badly needs it.

What a crazy time we are having! Seasonal Allergies. Cold. Flu. And now coronavirus?!

It seems Spring 2020 is a giant dodgeball game. But, instead of balls, viruses and bacteria are coming at us from all angles. We have many lines of defense, such as medications, air purifiers, vitamins & minerals, and soap. Let’s add another one – ESSENTIAL OILS!!!

Essential oils have been used to fight infectious diseases for thousands of years! They were THE medicines for ancient Greeks, Romans, and Egyptians. Ancient India started reaping the benefits of essential oils as far back as 5000BC. And the Europeans were using herbs and essential oils to dodge the bubonic plague during the Middle Ages. The bubonic plague! With that in mind, there is no better time than now to call on essential oils.

Many microbes float around in the air causing illnesses like the cold, flu, and COVID-19 to spread from person to person, especially indoors. Diffusing essential oils in your home, office space, and car is a great way to kill viruses, bacteria, mold, and fungal spores in the air. Female massage therapist seeking another female holistic health practitioner to share office space with. Very professional, clean and cozy office inside of Health Touch NC LLC, spacious and quiet with nice lighting. Includes all utilities, Wi-Fi, tea and water service for clients, trash removal, cleaning services, ample parking, wheelchair accessibility, and more!

Ideal candidate would be seeking space for weekdays after 3 pm. However I am open to discussing the option of full days during the week Saturdays and Sundays are also available on a shared basis. We can discuss how the weekends will be split.

Selected candidate must be licensed and insured. Must also be prepared to be screened and approved by Health Touch NC LLC. Once approved, sublease would begin December 1st.
