Modalities: Licensed Massage Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, Spontaneous Muscle Release Therapy (SMRT), Heated Stone Therapy, Exercise and Stretching Consultation, Cranio-sacral Therapy
Licensed Massage Therapy: A western style of massage that relieves stress, relaxes muscle tissue, and improves blood and lymph circulation. Swedish Massage consists of gliding, kneading, brisk, and tapping strokes to the superficial skin or deeper muscle tissues. Pressure is light to medium. This session may also include Deep Tissue and/or Trigger Point Massage on specific muscles or muscle groups, as needed
Deep Tissue Massage: A slow, methodical manipulation directed toward the deeper structures of the muscles and fascia in t he body. Deep Tissue Massage increases flexibility, increases range of motion in muscles, breaks up adhesions in muscles, decreases pain, improves posture, increases circulation, increases client awareness, and flushes waste and toxins from muscle tissues.
Spontaneous Muscle Release Therapy: SMRT is a positional release modality used to easefully and naturally prompt the client’s body to regain balance and comfort. It uses passive contraction of muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissue to activate the proprioceptors to help the body move toward its most comfortable, balanced state.
Heated Stone Therapy: Basalt stones are heated, oiled and used to massage away muscle tension and induce relaxation. This method is especially helpful in easing pain and soreness in contracted tissue. Gemstones can also be used to balance, clear and energize the body’s energy centers. This therapy is often used during a Swedish Massage session.
Exercise and Stretching Consultation: Suggestions, demonstration and practice of exercises and/or stretches that help to lessen chronic muscular issues, improve chronic imbalances, strengthen postural challenges. Improves effectiveness of massage sessions and frequently helps to lessen the frequency and intensity of the muscular issues caused by these challenges
Craniosacral Therapy: Craniosacral Therapy works with the skeletal structure and connective tissues throughout the body. Injuries and trauma cause the body to contract and hood tension resulting in pain and constriction. Craniosacral Therapy locates and reduces or eliminates these tension s bringing relief and freedom. Treatments are powerfully transformational yet gentle and deeply relaxing.
